I have been an artist ever since I have been able to hold a crayon.
My love for self-expression through color and design emerged at a very early age. My training in college helped me to develop my own unique style. While most students in class went for the easy "A" by copying the professor's style, I was looking for my own unique style and ability.
My work over the years reflects the journey of my life. As I become more whole as a person, my work becomes more expansive and expressive. I channel the energies of emotion to create a piece. I rarely have a set idea of what a piece will look like. Painting abstracts allows for the freedom of expression as I choose to see it. |

Kathy Chiavaroli ’s mandalas are meant to be not only visually attractive, but also a healing experience for both the creator and the viewer. There is an energy and spirit that go into the creation of each mandala, can be shared by creator and viewer alike. A mandala drawing can be used for simple visual pleasure or as a tool for meditation. |

Angela has had many years of experience as an artist. She has worked as an Artist-in-Residence in collaboration with The George Eastman Museum and the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester New York. She has won numerous awards and grants. The New York's Governor Award and the Kennedy Center Award were awarded to her in collaboration with other artists for their work with Project U.N.I.Q.U.E., an intercultural arts program. She was granted the Wallace Memorial Library Award.
